MNF’s Vikings-Seahawks Powers ESPN to 14th Straight Monday Night Win

MNF Viewership is Up Eight Percent Season-To-Date

This week’s Monday Night Football game (8:13-11:15 p.m. ET) – a Seattle Seahawks’ 21-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings – averaged 11,462,000 viewers across ESPN and ESPN Deportes, according to Nielsen.

ESPN won the night among all networks, broadcast or cable, in households, viewers and all key male and adult demos (18-34, 18-49, 25-54) for the 14th straight Monday this fall. Vikings-Seahawks was also the most-watched telecast of the night across all broadcast and cable networks among those same categories – the 13th week this season that MNF has been Monday’s No. 1 show.

Season-to-date: Through 14 weeks (15 games), MNF on ESPN is up eight percent vs. last year, averaging 11,725,000 viewers (vs. 10,807,000 in 2017).

The top metered markets (not including those of the competing teams): Portland, Ore. (14.9), New Orleans (13.9), Norfolk, Va. (11.4), Las Vegas (11.0), Richmond-Petersburg, Va. (11. 0), Phoenix (10.5), Kansas City (10.4), San Diego (10.3), Albuquerque-Santa Fe (10.2) and Chicago (10.1).

Week 15 on MNF: On Dec. 17 at 8:15 p.m. ET, Drew Brees and the NFC-leading New Orleans Saints travel to Charlotte to face Cam Newton and the NFC South rival Carolina Panthers, who need a victory to remain in the hunt for a NFC Wild Card spot.
