College GameDay Returns to Stillwater for ‘Bedlam’ Matchup

ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest running and most celebrated pregame show – will visit Stillwater, Okla., for the fifth time on Saturday, Nov. 28, in advance of Saturday Night Football on ABC presented by Wells Fargo featuring the annual “Bedlam” inter-state rivalry – No. 6 Oklahoma State hosting No. 7 Oklahoma at 8 p.m. (Rankings to be updated tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 24). The Emmy Award-winning show runs 9 a.m.-noon on ESPN.

H­ost Rece Davis – in his first season at the College GameDay desk –  is joined by analysts Kirk HerbstreitLee Corso and David Pollack, as well as contributors Samantha PonderTom RinaldiGeorge Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski. Herbstreit will call the game with Chris Fowler and reporter Heather Cox.

Rather than at his usual spot on the show, Desmond Howard will be in Ann Arbor, Mich., where his #21 jersey will be retired prior to No. 12 Michigan’s rivalry game against No. 3 Ohio State (Noon, ABC) Saturday. Howard will provide live segments from Michigan during College GameDay.

SEC Network Goes ‘Inside’ Auburn Program & SEC Nation Makes First Visit to the Iron Bowl

SEC Network closes out the regular season by highlighting one of college football’s most famous rivalries, Alabama vs. Auburn in the 2015 Iron Bowl. SEC Nation, the network’s traveling pregame show, will be live Saturday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to noon on the Campus Green. It will mark the show’s first trip to the Iron Bowl. In addition, the network’s new show, SEC Inside, will embed with Auburn on game day. The episode Wednesday, Dec. 2, will include unseen vantage points from the game and Auburn locker room.

This week’s SEC Inside on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m., features new insight and angles from the Mississippi State vs. Arkansas game. Then at 7:30 p.m., SEC Film Room sits down with Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin to break down the X’s and O’s of their recent win over Vanderbilt.

FCS Playoff First and Second Matchups Announced

ESPN’s 2015-16 NCAA Championship coverage continues Saturday, Nov.28, with all eight games from the first round of the Football Championship Subdivision Playoff. Over the next several weeks, ESPN will cover all 23 games from the championship, including eight second-round games (Dec. 5), the quarterfinals (Dec. 11-12), semifinals (Dec. 18-19) and final (Jan. 9). ESPN3 will stream the first and second rounds as well as two of the quarterfinal games. The remaining two quarterfinals will air on ESPN or ESPN2, the semifinals on ESPN2 and ESPNU and the final on ESPN2 from Frisco, Texas.

Twenty-Four Finalists Announced for The Home Depot 25th Anniversary College Football Awards on Thursday, Dec. 10

The Home Depot 25th Anniversary College Football Awards will air on ESPN, Thursday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. ET.  The show, relocating to the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, highlights the achievements of college football student-athletes in 2015.  Twenty-four players were selected as finalists for the nine National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA) awards given annually during the show. The nominees were announced during The Home Depot College Football Awards Nomination Special at 5 p.m. ET today on ESPNU.

Derrick Henry (Alabama), Christian McCaffrey (Stanford) and Deshaun Watson (Clemson) are each finalists for two awards. Alabama and Stanford lead schools in nominations as Alabama has three players nominated for four awards and Stanford has two players nominated for three awards.
