Eye of the Tiger: College GameDay to Originate from Baton Rouge Ahead of ESPN Primetime Matchup Between No. 7 Florida Gators and No. 5 LSU Tigers

College GameDay Built by the Home Depot will originate from Baton Rouge, La., ahead of the SEC matchup between No. 7 Florida and No. 5 LSU. The three-hour pregame show (9 a.m. – noon ET), will be live from the Campus Quad.

College GameDay will air on ESPN and ESPNU as it does each Saturday throughout the season. Countdown to GameDay Live sponsored by Coca-Cola and Samsung QLED, will also be live on-site on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and the ESPN App, featuring ESPN college football reporter and analyst Maria Taylor, college football analyst David Pollack, ESPN Radio host Jason Fitz, and a number of college football analysts and reporters.

The show precedes a full slate of action across ESPN networks, beginning at noon ET. ABC Saturday Night Football will feature No. 10 Penn State at No. 17 Iowa, airing at 7:30 p.m., with Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge and Holly Rowe on the call. ESPN’s primetime matchup between No. 7 Florida and No. 5 LSU will air at 8 p.m., with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Maria Taylor and Tom Rinaldi on the call.

Beginning this weekend on Oct. 12, ESPN will deliver select regular season college football games live in native 4K resolution as part of the “Samsung QLED 4K Game of the Week.” This agreement with Samsung, who serves as production collaborator and presenting sponsor, kicks off with Saturday’s matchup between No. 7 University of Florida and No. 5 Louisiana State University at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and DIRECTV on channel 107.9at*. This “Samsung QLED 4K Game of the Week” live telecast marks the first in a package that includes six college football games this season, as well as a 4K feed that will be part of ESPN’s “Megacast” presentation of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Jan. 13, 2020.
