ESPN Deportes Celebrates its 15th Anniversary with Special Show from Wynwood, Miami’s Iconic Art District

ESPN Deportes will celebrate its 15th anniversary today Monday, January 7, 2019, LIVE from Wynwood Yard in Miami’s popular art district with a special show hosted by ESPN Deportes’ commentators Pilar Pérez and Sebastián Martínez Christensen. Throughout the day, ESPN Deportes will feature live reports from Miami across all its news and information shows. The celebration will culminate with a 30-minute preview of the College Football Playoff National Championship between the top two ranked teams, Alabama and Clemson, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

As part of the activities for fans in Wynwood, ESPN Deportes commissioned Miami-based art agency, Cushy Gigs to paint a live mural commemorating the 15th anniversary.

“For the last 15 years ESPN Deportes has had the privilege of sharing our passion and excitement for sports with Hispanic fans,” said Freddy Rolón, vice president and general manager, ESPN Deportes. “We look forward to celebrating our growth and evolution on Monday and then re-energized our mission of catering to the ever-changing multicultural fan in the U.S.”
