ESPN Plans Hank Aaron Tribute Special for New York Mets-Atlanta Braves Telecast on Tuesday

Hank Aaron will Join the Booth as a Special Guest for Multiple Innings During the Game

Telecast will Include Phone Interviews with Past Teammates, Quotes from Sports Icons & More

ESPN today announced that it will present a special telecast for Tuesday’s, full-national game between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves, honoring one of the game’s all-time best, Baseball Hall of Famer and MLB legend Hank Aaron at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. The 25-time MLB All-Star spent 21 of his 23 year playing career with the Braves, first in Milwaukee then in Atlanta. Aaron has continued his involvement with the team and is now the senior vice president of the Braves organization.

During the telecast, Aaron will join play-by-play commentator Dave Flemming and analysts Eduardo Pérez and Tim Kurkjian as a guest in the booth for multiple innings.

Aaron’s lasting-impact on the game of baseball and beyond will be celebrated throughout the telecast. Some of the highlights include:

The Braves and Freddie Freeman, currently tied for first in the National League East, look to take the solo lead in the division during the Hank Aaron tribute telecast, when they take on the Mets – led by rookie manager Mickey Callaway – on Tuesday’s telecast presented by USAA.
