Real Wake Driven by MasterCraft to Air September 17 on ABC

The sixth installment in the Real Series 2017 schedule, Real Wake Driven by MasterCraft, launches today, September 7, with six never-before-seen Wakeboard video parts debuting on XGames.com at 4:30 p.m. ET. A full World of X Games episode will air September 17 on ABC, featuring all six video parts, behind-the-scenes footage and athlete interviews.

Organized in collaboration with MasterCraft and Alliance Wake, the free-flowing format of this competition will reward next-level tricks, innovative style and mind-blowing cinematography. The videos will be judged by a panel of industry experts and their selections for which athlete/filmer teams will be awarded X Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be announced on the ABC broadcast. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. Fans will also have a chance to view and vote for their favorite videos online at XGames.com/RealWake, with the Fan Favorite winning an additional cash prize.

The six Real Wake Driven by MasterCraft athletes invited to the 2017 competition are: Steel Lafferty, Guenther Oka, Felix Georgii, Brenton Priestly, Alex Graydon and Aaron Rathy.

A forum for the world’s best riders and filmers to create premium video content, the Real Series brings together the worlds of competitive action sports and core video parts. Originally launching with the Real Street competition in the summer of 2010, the Real Series has now grown to include six video competitions – with Snowboard, Ski, BMX, Moto and Wakeboard disciplines now added to the lineup – and more on the way in 2018.
