ESPN to Provide Unprecedented Coverage of Last Two Weekends of MLS Regular Season

ESPN will provide unprecedented coverage of the last two match days of the 2016 Major League Soccer regular season beginning Sunday, Oct. 16, with back-to-back telecasts of Montreal Impact vs. Toronto FC at 3 p.m. ET and MLS Cup reigning champions Portland Timbers vs. Colorado Rapids at 5:15 p.m. The matches on Major League Soccer’s “Final Push to the Playoffs” will also be carried on ESPN Deportes and streamed on WatchESPN.

On “Decision Day,” Sunday, Oct. 23, the final match-day of the regular season, ESPN will televise a match (TBD) live, while ESPN2 will present a live whiparound show with highlights from all MLS matches (except matches on Fox Sports 1 or Univision).

MLS Eastern Conference Final Push to the Playoffs: Montreal Impact vs. Toronto FC at 3 p.m.

MLS Western Conference Final Push to the Playoffs: Portland Timbers vs. Colorado Rapids at 5:15 p.m.

Sunday, October 23:

On MLS Decision Day, Sunday, Oct. 23, ESPN will carry one match live (TBD). In the same window, ESPN2 will present MLS Decision Day Whiparound, a two-hour special with live look-ins to matches played concurrently across the league (except matches on FS1 and Univision/UniMás – Major League Soccer’s U.S. national media partners).
