Williams Sisters Headline Ladies’ QFs at Wimbledon

·         “Cross Court Coverage” with ESPN, ESPN2 Starting at 8 a.m. ET Tuesday, Wednesday

·         Gentlemen’s Quarterfinals Wednesday with No. 3 Federer, No. 2 Murray, No. 6 Raonic vs. No. 28 Querrey

ESPN and ESPN2’s “Cross Court Coverage” for Wimbledon’s Ladies’ Quarterfinals on Tuesday, July 5, will begin at 8 a.m. ET, headlined by the Williams Sisters:  six-time champion No. 1 seed Serena Williams facing No. 21 Anastasia Paylyuchenkova (second on Centre Court) while No. 8 and five-time champion Venus Williams plays Yaroslava Shvedova (first on No. 1 Court)ESPN will focus on Centre Court, while ESPN2 presents the pair of contests on No. 1 Court.

The other two matchups:  No. 4 Angelique Kerber vs No. 5 Simona Halep will be the first match on Centre; No. 19 Dominika Cibulkova vs Elena Vesnina will follow the Venus-Shvedova match.

Fans on the move or wishing to watch a different match on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis Club can choose the match they want on WatchESPN.  WatchESPN offers the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts, as well as all matches from the TV courts from first ball to last ball each day, with action available on demand afterwards, plus AELTC’s daily Live@Wimbledon.

Championship Weekend

The action will climax with the Ladies’ Championship and the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 9, and the Gentlemen’s Championship on Sunday, July 10, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship.  By coincidence, that day will be full of championship competition from Europe as following the Wimbledon telecast, ESPN will air the final match of the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 live from Paris.
