Women’s College Basketball: ESPN2 Sunday Doubleheader Showcases Top-Ranked Teams

ESPN2 is home to a women’s college basketball doubleheader Sunday, Jan. 24, showcasing a SEC top-10 battle between No. 2 South Carolina at No. 10 Mississippi State at 5 p.m. The earlier game has Big Ten action with No. 7 Ohio State at Rutgers at 3 p.m. The two games are part of ESPN’s My Home Court – a celebration of some of the best and most historic venues in the sport.

Also on Sunday, SEC Network hosts a doubleheader, No. 22 Florida at No. 23 Missouri at 2 p.m., followed by Arkansas at Auburn at 4 p.m.

ESPN2’s Big Monday bout between No. 18 Tennessee at No. 9 Kentucky will honor Pat Summitt’s leadership on-and-off the court through storytelling and in-game graphics. espnW.com will have additional features relating to the legendary Tennessee coach. The SEC’s “We Back Pat” is a week-long initiative focusing on bringing awareness and recognition to Alzheimer’s.

Rachel Margolis Siegal

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
