Jimmy V Week Concludes with Jimmy V Men’s Classic
ESPN’s weeklong Jimmy V Week for Cancer Research – in its sixth consecutive year — concludes Tuesday, Dec. 4, with the Jimmy V Men’s Classic Presented by Corona Extra. The 18th annual event will match Texas vs. No. 15 Georgetown at 7 p.m. ET and No. 25 NC State vs. Connecticut at 9 p.m., both live from Madison Square Garden on ESPN.
During the games, the BottomLine will encourage viewers to join ESPN and The V Foundation in the fight against cancer by calling 1-800-4-JIMMY-V, visiting jimmyv.org or texting JimmyV to #80888 to make a donation toward cancer research.
The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday
Presenters for The Home Depot College Football Awards — airing Thursday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN — were announced and include four College Football Hall of Fame inductees and four former winners. The 22nd annual awards show – hosted by ESPN’s Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Tom Rinaldi and Samantha Steele – will originate from the Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s BoardWalk at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
ESPNU will be live from Walt Disney World Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. with more than six hours of college football programming that includes CFB Daily’s (1-4 p.m.; 5-5:30 p.m.) first-ever show outside the studio and a Palmer & Pollack (5:30 p.m.) special. Heisman Trophy Presented Saturday on ESPN
ESPN will continue its comprehensive college football coverage with an exclusive telecast of the 78th annual Heisman Trophy Presentation presented by Nissan on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. The live telecast from the Best Buy Theater in New York, will also be available on WatchESPN, ESPN Mobile TV and ESPN Radio. Men’s Hoops: Saturday Lineup of Eight Ranked Teams in Action
ESPN’s men’s college basketball schedule for Saturday, Dec. 8, will be highlighted by ranked or one-loss teams throughout the day.
- ESPN2 will televise six games Saturday, showcasing one-loss Colorado at No. 9 Kansas at 2 p.m., No. 8 Arizona at Clemson at 8 p.m. and No. 13 Illinois at No. 10 Gonzaga on Saturday at 10 p.m.
- ESPN will offer a doubleheader of games from neutral site locations beginning with Temple vs. No. 2 Duke from East Rutherford, N.J., at 3:15 pm. followed by UCLA vs. Texas from Houston at 5:15 p.m.
In addition to a Saturday lineup, ESPNU will televise No. 21 UNLV at one-loss California on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. Full schedule
Big Wednesday of Women’s Hoops
ESPN2 will showcase two of the top women’s basketball players in the nation on Wednesday, Dec. 5. and be the home to the sold-out, top-five 7 p.m. matchup between No. 3 Baylor (led by Brittney Griner) at No. 5 Notre Dame (led by Skylar Diggins). NCAA Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Soccer Championships
ESPN3 will carry eight NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball regional semifinals games and four regional finals exclusively on Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8. The semifinals and championship matches will air on ESPN2 next week. The NCAA Division I Men’s College Cup games continue this weekend with a semifinal doubleheader (No. 2 Maryland vs. No. 3 Georgetown at 5 p.m. and No. 12 Creighton vs. No. 16 Indiana at 7:30 p.m.) on ESPNU on Friday and the Championship game on Sunday. ESPNU Road Trip: Kansas vs. West Virginia
ESPNU Road Trip, tonight at 6:30 p.m., trucks down ‘Country Roads’ to West Virginia as the Mountaineers wrap up their first Big 12 season. Co-hosts Niki Noto and Ali Nejad visit Morgantown for the first time, touring campus with the Mountaineer, sharp-shooting with the top-ranked rifle team and learning what it takes to be a coal miner – all before WVU took on Kansas.
