ESPN will showcase two of the top women’s basketball players in the nation on Wednesday, Dec. 5. ESPN2 will be home to the sold-out, top-five matchup between No. 3 Baylor led by Brittney Griner at No. 5 Notre Dame led by Skylar Diggins at 7 p.m. The Final Four announcing team of Dave O’Brien, Doris Burke and Rebecca Lobo will have the call of the Baylor-Notre Dame matchup.
The duo includes two of the best in the country – all preseason players of the year for their respective conferences. Griner is coming off the 2012 NCAA National Championship and was the 2012 Wade Trophy winner, and Diggins is Notre Dame’s star and carries the most Twitter followers of any collegiate athlete (279K).
On ESPN3, Delaware will play at Rhode Island at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Xavier will take on Middle Tennessee State on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. Women’s basketball on ESPN returns Tuesday, Dec. 18, with No. 16 Tennessee at No. 3 Baylor, at 8 p.m.
