College GameDay Notebook
Alabama will host College GameDay for the 10th time and appear in a featured game for the 20th time. LSU is appearing for the third time this season, and 11th overall.
College football coaches and their teams aren’t the only ones who watch film to improve their fundamentals. With an extra big show this weekend, the College GameDay crew, featured in a spot from 2008, are studying film to improve their GameDay performances, led by their head coach – senior coordinating producer Michael Fountain.

A jack of all trades, well, basketball trades at least – ESPN.com senior writer Andy Katz has become a leading source for college basketball news and information on ESPN networks, online and Twitter. And in case ESPN ever needs an expert on Soviet and Eastern European studies, he would be happy to lead that panel as well.
On ESPNU
Wednesday (7 p.m.) – ESPNU All-Access: BYU tours LaVell Edwards Stadium and its football facilities with seniors Terence Brown and JJ Di Luigi. Viewers learn the meaning of “keeping it in the family” with brothers Matt and Houston Reynolds – both offensive lineman under their father Lance Reynolds, who is an assistant head coach with the Cougars. At practice, L. Reynolds is wired, along with head coach Bronco Mendenhall and offensive coordinator Brandon Doman.
Wednesday (7:30 p.m.) – ESPNU Road Trip visits the “Little Apple” hitching a ride during the homecoming parade and experiencing a high-flying adventure while in town for last weekend’s Big 12 clash between then-No. 9 Oklahoma at then-No. 8 Kansas State.
