College Basketball Media Days on ESPNU Tips Off with the ACC on October 19

For the second straight year ESPNU will host ACC Basketball Media Day from its Charlotte, N.C. studios as part of the 24-hour college sports network’s extensive NCAA men’s basketball media days coverage that will include the ACC, BIG EAST, Big Ten, Big 12, PAC-12 and SEC. College Basketball Media Days begins with the Atlantic Coast Conference on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at noon ET with four hours of live coverage and features of coaches and players previewing the upcoming season. Wednesday’s special will also include live coverage from BIG EAST media day.

College Basketball Media Days continues on ESPNU from 1 – 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, with more from the ACC, BIG EAST and Big 12, and then on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 1 – 4 p.m., with the Big Ten, PAC-12 and SEC.

The 2011 season marks the beginning of ESPN’s new 12-year agreement for exclusive rights to every ACC basketball conference game.  ACC action on ESPN continues this year with Super Tuesday, Wednesday Night Hoops, Thursday Night Showcase and Saturdays, along with the addition of ACC Sunday Night Basketball on ESPNU.

ESPNU will air more than 300 men’s and women’s basketball games combined, including action from more than 25 NCAA Division I conferences, in the 2011-12 season.
