ESPNHS Announces Tyreke Evans, Brandon Jennings, Kevin Love, Kemba Walker, John Wall, and Jason Williams to Coach Boost Mobile Elite 24 Teams
Game and Slam Dunk Contest Live on ESPNU August 26 and 27
Boost Mobile Elite 24 alumni Kevin Love, John Wall, Tyreke Evans, Kemba Walker and Brandon Jennings will coach at this year’s event held at Venice Beach, Calif. on Friday, Aug. 26, and Saturday, Aug. 27. They will be joined by former college player of the year and national champion Jason Williams.
High school basketball coaches Jason Hart of Taft High School (Woodland Hills, Calif.) and Grant Rice of Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas, Nev.) will lead the coaching staffs of the two teams. Hart, who recently retired after a 10-year pro career, will team with Love, Jennings and Williams to lead the “Raymond Lewis” squad. Rice, with Evans, Walker and Wall will lead the “Marques Johnson” squad. Teams, in the tradition of the event, are named after Los Angeles playground legends.

Boost Mobile Elite 24 participants are selected based on their performance at AAU events by high school basketball experts from ESPNHS, ESPN College Basketball Recruiting and other top talent evaluators.
The 2011 Boost Mobile Elite 24 event will consist of the Under Armour High School Slam Dunk Contest, on Friday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. ET and the game on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. Both will be televised live on ESPNU. Boost Mobile returns as the sponsor for the 2011 event joined by Under Armour, the title sponsor of the dunk contest and the official apparel sponsor; Wilson, the official ball sponsor; and Gatorade the official hydration sponsor.
