ESPN to Televise 10 MLB Spring Training Games

ESPN will televise 10 MLB Spring Training games – including telecasts from both the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues – beginning Thursday, March 3, with the Detroit Tigers and Triple Crown threat Miguel Cabrera facing the Atlanta Braves and Jason Heyward at 1 p.m. ET. The Tigers/Braves game will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex as part of ESPN The Weekend.

The Spring Training schedule will also include a prime-time telecast featuring the New York Yankees facing the Boston Red Sox with newcomers Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford on Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.  Additionally, ESPN2 will feature a unique Saturday national telecast – the defending American League Champion Texas Rangers and Josh Hamilton facing the Chicago Cubs and offseason acquisition Carlos Pena – March 26 at 4 p.m.

ESPN and ESPN2’s Spring Training games will be full national telecasts, unless noted, with each game also available via ESPN3.com and ESPN Mobile TV.
