ESPN Major League Baseball Content Highlights for March 31 through April 3

ESPN is continuing to cover Major League Baseball across platforms, including storytelling on ESPN.com, podcast coverage and MLB Encore Tuesdays on ESPN.

ESPN reporter Marly Rivera spoke with 15 MLB managers about how their roles as leaders have evolved during this unprecedented period. Read what each manager said about how they’re communicating with their team, plus their concerns, thoughts on the future of the season, and more here.

Tim Kurkjian, veteran ESPN MLB reporter and analyst, continues his “Baseball Fix” series on ESPN.com, on the best classic baseball story per day tied to that date in history. Today, Kurkjian tells the story about the day Michael Jordan got sent to the minor leagues (and started allegedly cheating at Yahtzee). Wednesday, he shares how Baseball Hall of Famer Phil Niekro changed his game plan for his 300th win. Then on Thursday, Kurkjian discusses Ichiro Suzuki’s love for hamburgers, math and his bats. Kurkjian will end the week telling the story of when boxing icon Muhammad Ali did not know Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Seaver was a pitcher.

Today on ESPN.com, ESPN Senior Writer David Schoenfield names the one-hit wonder for every American League team. Read his choices for the National League here. Thursday, ESPN baseball columnist Sam Miller names the craziest story in history for all 30 teams, and Friday, Miller ponders how we would build baseball if it were to begin from scratch in 2020.

In a time where many players are losing time at their peak, Wednesday on ESPN.com, Bradford Doolittle gives a history of players who have lost time at their best due to reasons not having to do with baseball.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball analyst Alex Rodriguez is continuing a series of Instagram live videos, interviewing guests from around the sport. Follow along on Instagram with @arod.
