Up to 14 Games per Week with Playoff Implications
Every Game Night: New Episodes of ESPN+ Post-Game Show In The Crease with Linda Cohn & Barry Melrose
Beginning March 1, the NHL schedule on ESPN+ – which has included up to nine games per week throughout its inaugural full season – expands to offer up to 14 marquee games per week during the Battle for the Playoffs. Every matchup will have playoff implications for one or both teams.
The Metropolitan Division-leading New York Islanders will be back on ESPN+ for the second night in a row to begin the March slate following the team’s 6-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs in the highly anticipated return of former captain John Tavares to New York for the first time since he signed with the Maple Leafs in the offseason. They will face off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals and Alex Ovechkin in a battle for the top of the division at 7 p.m. ET.
Additional March highlights include:
- 17 appearances by current division leaders, including seven by the Calgary Flames, five by the Nashville Predators, three by the Tampa Bay Lightning and two by the Islanders.
- March 1: The Central Division lead is on the line as the Predators take on the second-place Winnipeg Jets.
- March 6: The Flames take on the Vegas Golden Knights in a late-season Pacific Division battle.
- March 9: The Columbus Blue Jackets host the Pittsburgh Penguins as both teams fight to solidify a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
- March 11: An Atlantic Division showdown as the Maple Leafs host the Lightning.
- March 18: The San Jose Sharks take on the Golden Knights in a potential playoff preview.
- March 21: The Golden Knights host the Jets in a rematch of the 2018 Western Conference Final.
- 46 NHL games on ESPN+ over the next 24 days.
