ESPN’s exclusive coverage of The Championships, Wimbledon continues on Friday, July 14, with the Gentlemen’s  Semifinals on ESPN at 8 a.m. ET:

• 24 Sam Querrey vs. No. 7 Marin Cilic.: Querrey, seeking to be the first American male in a Major final since Andy Roddick at the 2009 Wimbledon, plays the 2014 US Open champion.
• 3 Roger Federer vs. No. 11 Tomas Berdych: The Swiss seeks his 11th Wimbledon final, having won seven among his record 18 Majors.  Berdych has defeated Federer at Wimbledon, in a 2010 quarterfinal when the Czech reached his only Major final, but trails in their head-to-head series which dates back to the 2004 Summer Olympics, 18-6.

All the action, plus all the other televised courts, are available all day starting as early as 6 a.m. on ESPN3 and streaming live on the ESPN App.  The semifinals and championships will also air on ESPN Deportes.

Breakfast at Wimbledon at 7 a.m.

The two semifinal matches will be preceded by Breakfast at Wimbledon at 7 a.m., hosted by Chris McKendry.  The show will include Tom Rinaldi’s exclusive sit-down with American Sam Querrey, as he reaches a career-best Major performance; a look at the amazing resurgence this year by Roger Federer; Pam Shriver introduces fans to the players’ chef at Wimbledon; plus a preview of the day’s Gentlemen’s Semifinals and a look ahead at Saturday’s Ladies’ Championship, including a focus on Venus Williams’ return to the Wimbledon final for the first time since 2009.

“Wimbledon Surround” Returns for Semifinals, Championships

ESPN3 – online and streaming live on the ESPN App – offers an additional feed – “Wimbledon Surround” – for the semifinals and championships.  It has three boxes – the primary TV view, plus two more, each focusing on one player.

Ladies’ Championship Saturday

Saturday’s Wimbledon Ladies’ Championship will begin at 9 a.m., preceded by Breakfast at Wimbledon at 8 a.m.  The matchup:

• 10 Venus Williams, at 37 she is the oldest Wimbledon finalist since Martina Navratilova in 1994. Twenty years after her debut at Wimbledon, it will be her ninth final (5-3 to date) but first since 2009.
• 14 Garbiñe Muguruza, the 6-foot, 23-year old who represented Spain in the 2016 Summer Olympics, was a Wimbledon finalist in 2015 and won the French Open in 2016.

Championship Weekend

Action from London will peak with this weekend’s five championships on ESPN and ESPN Deportes:  the Ladies’ Championship and the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Doubles Championships on ESPN on Saturday, July 15; and the Gentlemen’s Championship on Sunday, July 16, followed by the Mixed Doubles Championship.  Both days, Breakfast at Wimbledon at 8 a.m. will lead into the 9 a.m. matches.  In addition, the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Championships will air on ABC at 3 p.m. each day.
