Alec Majerus Project

During 2015 and 2016, skateboarder Alec Majerus experienced one of the busiest season of his life. In addition to landing on major contest podiums, Majerus filmed three of his most involved video parts – Adidas, Volcom and Real Street all released May 2016. At the same time, Majerus also suffered a broken leg and staph infection which sidelined him for 10 months. The Alec Majerus Project will take fans through the highs and lows, explaining how he stays excited for the one thing that makes him happiest, skateboarding.

Skateboarders in Ethiopia follows seven-time X Games gold medalist Nyjah Huston as he heads back to Ethiopia to continue his “Let it Flow” project which creates resources to fix and improve water systems for people all over the world. Dream Big – Skateboarders in Ethiopia tells the story of the humble beginnings of one of the most successful street skateboarders and his mission to give back to less-fortunate communities. Joining Huston on his trip is skateboard legend Tony Hawk, X Games bronze medalist Aaron “Jaws” Homoki, professional skateboarder Derrick Wilson and Ethiopian youth skateboarding advocate Israel Dejene to do hands-on work repairing well systems in rural villages, skate the streets of Addis Adaba and build a new, modern obstacle at a local skate park with California Skateparks founder, Joe Ciaglia.
WSL Surfing Stop #3 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach
Airs: 5/13 at 2:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. PT on ABC
World Surf League’s stop at Bells Beach is hallowed ground primarily because it’s been home to some of pro surfing’s most historic battles. Not surprisingly, this year’s was among the best. With a dozen incredibly fired up performers ready to pounce on finals day things got interesting in a hurry, and the twists and turns just kept coming. It all equated to one heck of a good show, recapped in this World of X Games highlight reel.

WSL Big Wave Awards
Airs: 5/20 at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT on ABC
The best and bravest of the big-wave world swapped their inflation vests for formal wear and gathered at the Paseo Hotel in Huntington Beach to honor the top performances of the year. The tight field, each surfer with his or her share of rides and the footage to back them, reflected the progressive surge in big-wave surfing since the 2015-2016 El Niño season.
