The world’s top Skateboard and BMX athletes have been invited to the Road to X: Boise Qualifier, taking place June 10 at Rhodes Skate Park. The event serves as an official qualifying event for the X Games Minneapolis Park competitions. Twenty athletes will be invited to compete in each of the three disciplines – Men’s Skateboard Park, Women’s Skateboard Park and BMX Park. The top six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and the top four Women’s Skateboard athletes not already invited will qualify into the X Games Minneapolis Park competition. Athletes to watch include:

• Brighton Zeuner (Encinitas, California) – The youngest female athlete to compete at X Games, Zeuner took home an impressive fourth place finish in her X Games debut in 2016. At just 12 years old, Zeuner already has several podium finishes in her professional career.

• Ryan Nyquist (Santa Cruz, California) – A 16-time X Games medalist, Nyquist is the second most-decorated BMX athlete in X Games history. Nyquist has two Park gold medals and two Dirt gold medals, with his most recent podium being silver medal at X Games Barcelona 2013.

• Tom Schaar (Cardiff, California) – A five-time X Games medalist by the age of 15, Schaar won double bronze at X Games Austin 2015, in Big Air Doubles and Skateboard Big Air. A versatile skateboarder, Schaar has competed in Big Air, Vert and Park at X Games.

• Ryan Sheckler (San Clemente, California) – Still holding the record for being the youngest athlete to win an X Games gold medal, Sheckler now has seven X Games medals. While most of his wins have been in Street, Sheckler most recently earned a bronze in Park in 2015, the first time he had competed in the discipline at X Games since winning gold in 2003.
