Federer – Nadal XXXVII on ESPN2 on Sunday at Miami Open

  • Nadal Leads Rivalry 23-13, but Federer Leads 11-10 off Clay
  • Third Meeting Already in 2017, Swiss Has Won Last Three

For the 37th time, tennis legends Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will meet, Sunday, April 2, at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN2 for the championship of the Miami Open presented by Itaú.  Chris Fowler will call the action with Darren Cahill and Brad Gilbert.

This already will be their third meeting of 2017, all on outdoor hard courts – the five-set thrilling Australian Open final (Federer extended his record with an 18th Major title) and in the Round of 16 at Indian Wells, a tournament Federer also won.  Federer also won their previous meeting, in 2015 in the final in Basel, giving the Swiss a first-ever three-match winning streak over his Spanish rival.

While both players are rightfully lauded for their athleticism, dedication, stamina and class, the two could not be more different in style.  A tale of the tape:
