Men’s College Basketball: Champ Week Concludes with Four Conference Title Games and Selection Sunday Analysis

ESPN will devote extensive coverage to Selection Sunday on March 12 – with the network’s top experts contributing in-depth analysis throughout the day on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network and ESPN Radio – prior to and following the announcement of the 68-team NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship field.
The College GameDay Covered by State Farm crew of Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams will open the day’s programming with a special one-hour edition of College Basketball Live, beginning at noon ET (ESPN).
Bilas will co-host the 11:30 p.m. (ESPN) SportsCenter with John Buccigross in addition to joining Davis, Williams and Kara Lawson on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt at approximately 5:15 p.m. (ESPN), following the Frontier Communications America Athletic Conference title game. ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla will be joining SportsCenter from 7 – 11 p.m. to help breakdown the brackets.
The final day of Champ Week begins with the inaugural Ivy League Championship at noon, followed by the Sun Belt title game at 2 p.m., both on ESPN2. ESPN will present the SEC Tournament at 1 p.m. (ESPN) and conclude with the American Championship at 3:15 p.m.
Studio programming will continue at 4 p.m. (ESPN2) with a one-hour Bubble Watch presented by Pringles, followed by a two-hour Bracketology Presented by Allstate at 7 p.m. (ESPN) and another two-hour Bracketology Presented by Allstate at 9 p.m. (ESPN2). In addition, Andy Katz will interview NCAA Men’s Basketball Sport Committee Chairman Mark Hollis from New York City during the 7 p.m. Bracketology show.
Multiple ESPN experts will participate in the full-day of coverage, including analysis from Cory Alexander, Dane Bradshaw, Adrian Branch, Dan Dakich, LaPhonso Ellis, Dino Gaudio, Joe Lunardi, Myron Medcalf, Miles Simon, Chris Spatola, Dick Vitale, Antoine Walker and Tim Welsh.
Hosting duties include Davis, Chris Cotter and Adnan Virk on ESPN/ESPN2, Katz, Matt Schick and Anish Shroff on ESPNU, Peter Burns and Dari Nowkhah on SEC Network and Paul Finebaum and Bob Wischusen on ESPN Radio.
Greg Shaheen, who oversaw the operation of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship until 2012, will be on ESPN networks Friday through Monday, providing insight into the selection process of the NCAA Committee for a fifth straight season.
Davis (7 – 9 a.m.) and Bilas (8 – 10 a.m.) will join Mike & Mike (ESPN Radio / ESPN2) on Monday morning for continued reaction with Mike Golic and Trey Wingo, who is filling in for usual host Mike Greenberg.

A special one-hour College Basketball Live at noon (ESPN) will review conference tournament results, look at the potential NCAA Championship field and preview the day’s upcoming conference championships. Davis will host with analysts Bilas, Greenberg and Williams.
Bubble Watch presented by Pringles at 4 p.m. on ESPN2
A one-hour Bubble Watch presented by Pringles at 4 p.m. (ESPN2) will be hosted by Cotter with analysts Dakich, Ellis, Lawson and Simon discussing the conference champions already in the tournament, potential seeding and the teams on the bubble.
SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt (at the conclusion of American Title Game) & SportsCenter at 11 p.m.
Scott Van Pelt will host a special edition of SportsCenter Sunday afternoon following the Frontier Communications American Athletic Conference Men’s Championship – approximately at 5:15 p.m. (ESPN). Guests will include Bilas, Davis, Lawson and Williams. Van Pelt also will be hosting a group on ESPN.com’s Tournament Challenge which is free for all fans of his show to join.
Bilas will co-host Sunday’s 11 p.m. SportsCenter (ESPN) with John Buccigross for their annual bracket breakdown, plus Bilas will try his hand at all the other sports of the day including his take on the huge Cavs-Rockets game.
Bracketology presented by Allstate at 7 p.m. on ESPN
The two-hour program will include extensive, in-depth analysis of the bracket in each region, beginning at 7 p.m. (ESPN). Davis will host with analysts Bilas, Dakich, Greenberg, Lawson, Williams and Vitale (via satellite) discussing multiple tournament topics and revealing their Elite Eight, Final Four and Championship teams. In addition, Katz will interview NCAA Men’s Basketball Sport Committee Chairman Mark Hollis from New York City.
Bracketology presented by Allstate at 9 p.m. on ESPN2
Extensive discussion of the tournament field will continue with an additional two hours of Bracketology Presented by Allstate at 9 p.m. (ESPN2). Virk will host with analysts Dakich, Ellis, Lawson and Simon providing insight and predictions for every game. In addition, a “Bracketology” national champion will be crowned during the program.
NIT Selection Special at 8:30 p.m. on ESPNU
ESPNU will reveal the NIT field on the NIT Selection Special, hosted by Schick with analyst Dino Gaudio, at 8:30 p.m. ESPN networks will provide exclusive coverage of all 31 NIT games beginning Tuesday, March 14.
Tournament Countdown: The Experts at 9 p.m. on ESPNU
Shroff will host a three-hour Tournament Countdown: The Experts at 9 p.m. (ESPNU) with analysts Cory Alexander, Adrian Branch, Dino Gaudio and Chris Spatola providing an expert’s take on the entire tournament field and an in-depth examination of each first- and second-round game.
Tournament Countdown Continues Monday on ESPNU
ESPNU will provide additional Tournament Countdown programming on Monday, March 13, beginning with Tournament Countdown: Katz Korner at noon. The two-hour special will feature interviews with top coaches of teams in the championship, analysis from Alexander, Branch, Gaudio and Tim Welsh, as well as tournament predictions.
Programming will continue at 2 p.m. with College Basketball Live: Tournament Countdown. Hosted by Schick, analysts Alexander, Branch, Gaudio and Welsh will help fans fill out brackets. Discussion and analysis of the biggest storylines, best matchups, potential upsets and Cinderella’s, Final Four projections, among other topics will be covered during the two-hour show, plus list-style countdowns of the best players, teams and moments from the season and past NCAA Tournaments.
SEC Network Selection Show at 7 p.m.
A two-hour SEC Network Selection Show is scheduled for Sunday, at 7 p.m., from the Charlotte, N.C., studios. This year’s special is hosted by Dari Nowkhah and Peter Burns, joined by studio analysts Antoine Walker and Dane Bradshaw. The show will consist of sound and interviews from the SEC teams selected for postseason brackets.
ESPN Radio’s Selection Sunday Show Begins at 6:30 p.m.
ESPN Radio’s weekend programs will break down their bracket predictions throughout the weekend. On Sunday from 6:30 – 10 p.m., ESPN Radio will air the Selection Sunday Show hosted by Paul Finebaum, Bob Wischusen and Myron Medcalf. The show will include the announcement of the brackets with reaction and analysis, plus from coaches and players throughout the evening. Additional reaction and guests continue through the evening on Jordan and Fitz (10 p.m. – midnight) and SportsCenter AllNight (midnight – 4 a.m.).

Tournament Challenge Marathon Begins Monday Night
Once the teams are bracketed, ESPN will televise a 24-hour Tournament Challenge Marathon – from the networks studios in Bristol, Conn. and Los Angeles, plus a set presence from Las Vegas – on Monday, March 13 through Tuesday, March 14.
