espnW

espnW named UConn’s Katie Lou Samuelson player of the week for her explosive performance in the Huskies’ win over Tulane. After missing her first five shots, Samuelson hit 11 of her next 13, finishing with 32 points after playing only two quarters.

This week’s content includes:

  • Charlie Creme revealed his top 16 seeds before the NCAA selection committee top-16 seeds were announced
  • Bracketology and NCAA’s top 16 seeds: What made sense and what surprised us? (Charlie Creme)
  • Colorado’s new era: JR Payne is in her first season as coach. The former Saint Mary’s point guard has brought an up-tempo style to the Buffs, who are lead in scoring by sophomore guard Kennedy Leonard. She came to CU to try to help the program get back to the winning ways Colorado was once accustomed to. Pac-12 play has been tough so far for the Buffs, but there is some optimism about where the program is headed. (Mechelle Voepel)
  • It is safe to say that Duke will go as far as the tandem of Lexie Brown and Rebecca Greenwell takes it. So what has the first season on the court been like for the one player in Durham that has actually been to a Final Four? (Graham Hays)
