ESPN2’s Invictus Games Coverage May 11; Interview with George W. Bush Discussing Invisible Wounds

Jeremy Schaap, who won a Sports Emmy Award last night, and Marysol Castro will host ESPN2’s primetime Invictus Games coverage tonight beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The 60-minute program will originate from ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando. Highlights:

  • Emotional pep talk from ESPN3 analyst and Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines to the U.S. swim team.
  • Schaap’s interview with George W. Bush discussing invisible wounds.
  • Highlights of sitting volleyball, swimming and wheelchair rugby.
  • Showcase “Up Close and Personal” feature by Tom Rinaldi on U.S. swimmer Tim Payne
  • John Brenkus,host of ESPN Sport Science, will look at August O’Neill’s swimming and seated volleyball performance from a scientific viewpoint.

ESPN2’s coverage will also be available live via WatchESPN across computers, smartphones, tablets, and connected devices via an affiliated video provider.

Tune in Thursday, May 12, starting at 8 a.m. on ESPN3 for coverage of the wheelchair tennis and wheelchair basketball finals. The Closing Ceremony will air live at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
