Longhorn Network Set to Air 28 Baseball Games and Every Texas Softball Home Game

Longhorn Network (LHN), ESPN’s 24-hour University of Texas network, is the exclusive home of every Texas softball home game and every baseball home game – with the exception of one – this season. The more than 60 matchups are highlighted by 33 softball and 28 baseball games.
The first to round home on the network is guaranteed to be a Longhorn with the annual baseball Alumni Game at UFCU Disch-Falk Field swinging the schedule into gear Saturday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. CT. Watch past and present Longhorns step up to bat including two-time World Series Champion Brandon Belt of the 2012 and 2014 World Series winning San Francisco Giants, 2013 World Series winner Brandon Workman, and two-time MLB All-Star Huston Street.

Ahead of the game, Texas GameDay will be live from the Disch beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The Longhorns went 46-21 and finished third nationally in the 2014 season. Baseball America ranks Texas No. 10 nationally in their pre-season poll, joining other Big 12 teams in the top ten, including Texas Tech at No. 5; TCU ranked at No. 7; and Oklahoma State at No. 8. The television schedule is highlighted with a Top Ten matchup of No. 5 Texas Tech at No. 10 Texas in a three-game series airing on LHN May 1-3.

Texas Home Softball Games:
Texas Softball finished the 2014 season with an overall record of 35-23 and the program’s 10th consecutive bid to NCAA Regionals. The Longhorns welcome four freshmen to the team and return 15 overall letter-winners and seven players that started at least 31 games from last year’s team.
