NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship: Monday, Tuesday Regional Finals to Determine Final Four

No. 1 seeds and undefeated Notre Dame and Connecticut continue their “Pursuit of Perfect” on ESPN and WatchESPN tonight, March 31, in the Elite Eight of the 2014 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Presented by Capital One. The Fighting Irish play at home against No. 2 seed Baylor at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Huskies facing No. 3 seed Texas A&M at 9:30 p.m. from Lincoln, Neb.

The final two tickets to the Women’s Final Four will be punched Tuesday, April 1, on ESPN and WatchESPN, without top seeds Tennessee and South Carolina, which were upset in Sunday’s regional semifinal action. No. 3 seed Louisville will play at home against No. 4 Maryland at 7 p.m., followed by No. 4 seed North Carolina at No. 2 Stanford at 9 p.m.

The NCAA Women’s Final Four games and Final Four specials will be carried live from Nashville, Tenn., on ESPN and WatchESPN. A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
