Men’s College Lax: ACC Dominates Weekend ESPNU Schedule

Top-ranked Maryland faces off against ACC opponent No. 6 North Carolina on Saturday, March 22, at 2 p.m. North Carolina is looking to rebound after a 0-2 ACC start, while Maryland remains undefeated at 7-0 overall, 2-0 in league play. Booker Corrigan and Ryan Flanagan have the call. Also in ACC play is No. 7 Syracuse at No. 4 Duke on Sunday, March 23, at 12:30 p.m. Eamon McAnaney and Paul Carcaterra, a four-year SU lax letter winner, will call the action. The Orangemen have won two straight games and look to top Duke, which is on a three-game win streak.

The late game on Saturday will feature No. 8 Johns Hopkins at No. 10 Virginia at 4:30 p.m. Hopkins suffered its first loss of the season, a 12-10 defeat to Syracuse. After opening the season with a six-game win streak, the Cavaliers have lost their last two games and look to rebound at home. Mike Corey and Matt Ward will have the call.

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
