The NFL recognizes that mothers may hold the key to the future of football. In many families, it’s mom who green-lights whether her son (or daughter) can play tackle football. And, with the growing concern over head trauma and future health issues, the league – and Roger Goodell himself — have launched an effort to educate moms about everything from the newest helmets to safe tackling techniques. So, are the mothers of America convinced? Tom Farrey went in search of answers in one the Heartland’s football-crazed towns – Eden Prairie, Minn.
