Men’s College Hoops: College GameDay at Syracuse & Seven of Top 10 Teams on ESPN Networks

College GameDay Covered by State Farm Travels to Syracuse
ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm will air live from Syracuse University’s Carrier Dome on Saturday, Feb. 1. The first hour begins at 10 a.m. ET on ESPNU, continuing at 11 a.m. on ESPN, with a one-hour evening edition at 5:30 p.m. leading into the Saturday Primetime game of No. 18 Duke at No. 2 Syracuse (ESPN, 6:30 p.m.).

College GameDay’s visit to Syracuse is in conjunction with NBA games in the state of N.Y. during Super Bowl week and will lead into the Miami Heat at the New York Knicks NBA game at 8:30 p.m. Super Bowl XLVIII is scheduled to be held Sunday, Feb. 2, at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J.

Rece Davis serves as host for College GameDay, and is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Jalen Rose.

The eight-week Saturday morning and evening college basketball program visits some of the top college basketball venues and programs this season.

Seven of Top 10 Teams & Four Matchups between Ranked Squads
ESPN’s men’s college basketball schedule from Thursday, Jan. 30, to Sunday, Feb. 2 will be highlighted by seven of the top 10 ranked teams and 14 of the top 25 overall. Four telecasts, all on ESPN, will see a matchup of teams in the Associated Press poll. Highlights:

  • The Thursday Night Showcase Presented by Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups doubleheader on January 30 will include three ranked teams beginning at 7 p.m. with No. 13 Cincinnati at No. 12 Louisville in an American Athletic Conference showdown. A Big Ten matchup at 9 p.m. will pit No. 10 Michigan against Purdue.
  • All four of ESPN’s telecasts on Saturday, Feb. 1, will involve at least one ranked team, with three of the games matching ranked programs against each other. The action will begin at noon with No. 24 Ohio State at No. 14 Wisconsin followed by No. 8 Oklahoma State against Baylor at 2 p.m., No. 6 Kansas at No. 25 Texas at 4 p.m. and No. 17 Duke at No. 2 Syracuse in the ESPN’s Saturday Primetime Driven by State Farm spotlight.
  • ESPNU will televise four games with at least one ranked team on the weekend highlighted by two of the top five Saturday, Feb. 1: undefeated No. 4 Wichita State against Evansville at 3 p.m. and one-loss No. 5 San Diego State against Colorado State at 7 p.m.
  • ESPN2’s schedule will feature No. 3 Florida at Mississippi State on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m.
