Longhorn Network to Provide Expanded Coverage of Texas Football National Signing Day

Live Four-Hour Show, Exclusive Press Conference Coverage, Extended Longhorn Extra Special
On Wednesday, Feb. 5, Longhorn Network (LHN) will offer its most extensive coverage to date of National Signing Day. The day’s programming will feature a dedicated four-hour show Texas Football National Signing Day Live presented by Salt Lick BBQ, exclusive live coverage of new Head Coach Charlie Strong’s first Signing Day press conference at Texas and an extended Longhorn Extra Signing Day Special.
From 8 a.m. to noon on Texas Football National Signing Day Live, Lowell Galindo and Longhorn legend Ricky Williams will anchor coverage from the Moncrief Athletics Complex, discussing the breaking news of signees and providing analysis. Reporter Kaylee Hartung will provide updates from the Texas football office throughout the day. Kevin Dunn, Ahmad Brooks, David Thomas and Max Olson will provide additional insights from LHN’s Austin studio. The morning coverage will also include interviews, features, and historical looks at Signing Days from past years.
LHN will air Coach Strong’s press conference live at 2 p.m. CT. Strong is expected to discuss the Longhorns’ recruiting class of 2014. The network’s coverage will continue at 6 p.m. with a one-hour Longhorn Extra Signing Day Special, recapping the day’s news and analyzing the impact the new players and coaches will make on the Longhorn football program.
In addition to LHN’s extensive coverage of the Texas program, Hartung will provide live updates from campus for ESPNU’s National Signing Day coverage. Hartung is one of 12 reporters embedded across the country at top college football programs for ESPNU’s 11-hour special.
