Men’s Basketball: Big 12/SEC Challenge Continues across ESPN Networks

The inaugural Big 12/SEC Challenge continues this week with several nationally ranked teams across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, including a top-20 matchup between No. 3 Kentucky at No. 20 Baylor on Friday, Dec. 6, at 10 p.m. on ESPN. The Challenge began Thursday, Nov. 14, and plays out over six weeks, culminating with the Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M game from Houston on Saturday, Dec. 21 (ESPNU, 7 p.m. ET).

Schedule highlights:

  • Thursday features three Big 12/SEC Challenge games: West Virginia at Missouri (ESPN2) and TCU at Mississippi State (ESPNU) at 7 p.m. and Ole Miss at Kansas State (ESPN2) at 9 p.m.
  • South Carolina travels to No. 9 Oklahoma State (ESPNU) at 9:30 p.m.
  • Additional ranked teams across ESPN nets on Saturday include: Northwestern State at No. 16 Memphis (ESPN3) at 1 p.m.; No. 6 Kansas at Colorado (ESPN2) at 3:15 p.m.; UNLV at No. 2 Arizona (ESPN2) at 5:15 p.m.; Binghamton at No. 4 Syracuse (ESPN3) at 7 p.m. and New Mexico State at No. 19 Gonzaga (ESPNU) at 11 p.m.
  • No. 13 Oregon travels to Ole Miss on Sunday at 5 p.m. (ESPNU).

Rachel Margolis Siegal

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
