Disney and ESPN Media Networks Promotes Three to New Affiliate Sales & Marketing Roles

DEMN Affiliate Sales & Marketing Promotions IMAGEThe Disney and ESPN Media Networks Group today announced the promotions of Lauren Morrissey and Pete O’Connell to Vice President of Affiliate Sales and Kimberly K. Wilson to Vice President of Affiliate Marketing.  Previously, they each served as Senior Director in their respective positions.  Morrissey will continue to be based in New York and O’Connell in Bristol, Conn.  Wilson has relocated from Burbank, Calif. to Bristol for her new role.

As Vice President of Affiliate Sales, Morrissey (née Stevenson) is responsible for managing and negotiating the distribution of Disney and ESPN Media Networks across television, VOD and authenticated products and services.  Since joining the company in 2004, Morrissey has held positions within the National Ad Sales, Digital Distribution, Affiliate Field Sales, and National Accounts teams.  She began her career in media as a sales associate with book publisher Penguin Group USA.  Morrissey is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies.

O’Connell is also responsible for managing and negotiating the distribution of Disney and ESPN Media Networks across television, VOD and authenticated products and services.  He is a 16-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company, having previously held positions in Local Ad Sales and Production since joining the company in 1997.  O’Connell earned his Master’s degree in Sports Communication from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Towson State University.

Wilson, in her new role as Vice President of Affiliate Marketing, is charged with managing all affiliate marketing activities for the ESPN brands – including the SEC ESPN Network and Longhorn Network – and marketing account strategy with national distributors.  Previously as Senior Director, Wilson was responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, activities and awareness for Disney and ESPN Media Networks as well as creating marketing opportunities that drive acquisition, retention and value for distributors.  Prior to joining The Walt Disney Company in 2005, she held positions at Clear Channel Radio and BET Networks.  Wilson earned her Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing from Roosevelt University and graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
