WNBA: Chicago Sky at Atlanta Dream Highlights This Week’s Three-Game Schedule

Three games highlight ESPN’s WNBA schedule this week, including a matchup between the top two teams in the Eastern Conference – the Chicago Sky at the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The Sky currently stands in first place with a 2.5 game lead on the Dream. Ryan Ruocco and Carolyn Peck will call the action.  An additional game Saturday on ESPN3 features the Indiana Fever at the Minnesota Lynx, also at 7 p.m.

The Los Angeles Sparks, currently a half game out of first place in the Western Conference, will travel to the Seattle Storm on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 10 p.m. on ESPN2. With just under a month left in the regular-season schedule, the Storm are looking to stay in playoff contention, now the fourth place team in the west. Ryan Ruocco and Rebecca Lobo will call the game.

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
