ESPN Deportes Adds More LIVE SportsCenter Editions
SportsCenter will now have LIVE daytime editions on Weekends
Starting August 10, ESPN Deportes will offer new, LIVE editions of SportsCenter every Saturday and Sunday between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET.
The weekend daytime editions will provide viewers with in-depth sports coverage and analysis of all the sports action of the weekend with special emphasis on Mexican, European and international soccer. Following the same unmistakable style, the new editions of SportsCenter will offer comprehensive news and information, including special segments with ESPN Deportes’ experts, live updates and recaps.
“This extension showcases the continued growth of our original programming offerings and our full-time commitment to our viewers,” said Rodolfo Martínez, VP of production for ESPN Deportes and ESPN International. “Fans will get the most important news of the weekend with the same quality they expect from our nightly SportsCenter editions and our other news and information shows.”
In the event of live sports coverage on the network, the show will air at different times throughout the afternoon and the length may vary depending on the weekend game line-ups. ESPN Deportes will continue to air its nightly live editions of SportsCenter on Saturday (11 p.m. and 1 a.m.) and Sunday (7 p.m. and 11 p.m.). The new editions will also feature SportsCenter’s regular anchors, including Jorge Eduardo Sánchez, Carolina Padrón, Alvaro Morales, Tony Cherchi, Mauricio Pedroza, Ricardo Puig, Jorge Carlos Mercader, Eitan Benezra, Alex De la Rosa and Kary Correa.
