NASCAR Nationwide Series at Talladega

The NASCAR Nationwide Series competes on NASCAR’s largest track, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, on Saturday, May 4, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Carl Edwards will be a guest analyst in the ESPN booth during the telecast of the race. NASCAR Countdown airs at 2:30 p.m. ET and the race’s green flag is at 3:35 p.m., with the telecast airing on ESPN and WatchESPN. Also from Talladega on Saturday, ESPN2 will televise qualifying at noon.

Booth: Lap-by-Lap announcer Allen Bestwick; analysts Carl Edwards, Andy Petree.

Pit reporters: Dave Burns, Jamie Little, Dr. Jerry Punch, Vince Welch.

NHRA Atlanta Action on ESPN2, ESPN3 

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will be in action this weekend in the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway and drag racing fans can watch qualifying and eliminations on ESPN2 and ESPN3. All NHRA programming on ESPN networks is also available on computers, smartphones and tablets through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app. The schedule:

NASCAR Now Schedule

ESPN2’s daily NASCAR news and information program NASCAR Now will preview the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega Superspeedway in the one-hour edition airing Sunday, May 5, at 9 a.m. ET. Host Allen Bestwick will be joined by ESPN NASCAR analyst Rusty Wallace in the studio with reporters Marty Smith and Jim Noble at the track. Bestwick and Wallace will review the race in the edition airing Tuesday, May 7, at 1:30 a.m. (late Monday night). NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Carl Edwards will be a guest on the program airing Wednesday, May 1, at 1 a.m. The week’s schedule:
