ESPNU and ESPN3 will air tonight’s Kentucky press conference featuring coach Calipari and five players – Anthony Davis, Terrence Jones, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Doron Lamb and Marquis Teague, who are expected to announce their NBA Draft intentions. The live presser will air in full at 7 p.m. SportsCenter on ESPNEWS will also offer live coverage. Watch on ESPN3


Spring Football Continues on ESPN3

ESPN3’s extensive schedule of spring football will continue Saturday, April 21, with action of seven games involving teams from the SEC, ACC and Big 12. Two of the seven games – NC State at 3:30 p.m. and Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. – will air exclusively on ESPN3. The remaining five games – Tennessee and Mississippi at 2 p.m.; Arkansas at 3 p.m.; and Mississippi State and West Virginia at 6 p.m. – will be subject to local blackout.


College Football Live – Spring Edition

College Football Live is back for the spring and this week airs most days on ESPNU (3:30 p.m.). This week’s shows feature analyst Trevor Matich and next week CFB Live welcomes Rod Gilmore in studio.

In addition, the DIRECTV Bus will make stops at several college campuses as part of the show, including cameos at West Virginia (Tue.), Ohio State (Wed.), Michigan (Thu.), Notre Dame (Fri.) and Oregon (Tue.).


This Week on the U

ESPNU has its eye on the road ahead and in the rear view mirror this week in the world of college sports. Jon Gruden’s QB Camp specials air nearly every night of the week – profiling the arms that had the biggest impact the game this year – and the initial rankings of college football’s most promising prospects will be featured on the network.

ESPNU will give viewers the first look at the football class of 2013 after ESPN.com’s release of the ESPN 150 earlier today. The one-hour (Tuesday at 10 p.m.) ESPN 150 Announcement Show, hosted by Anish Shroff, will include recruiting analysis from Tom Luginbill and Craig Haubert. Over 40 of the nation’s top college football prospects will be featured, as well as player profiles on Texas quarterback commit Tyrone Swoopes and Michigan commit Shane Morris.

ESPN College Images of the Week

The third annual ESPNU Warrior Classic returned Saturday, April 14, making its first appearance at American Legion Field in Charlotte, N.C.

No. 14 Syracuse topped BIG EAST rival Rutgers 19-6 in the first game, while No. 9 North Carolina beat Hofstra 12-9.

Weekly Game Highlights – Olympic Sport Coverage

While some men’s lacrosse teams wrap up their regular-season schedule, the ACC squads will be facing off in the annual championship from Charlottesville, Va.

•  ACC Championship semifinals (Friday on ESPNU): No. 8 ranked Maryland vs. No. 5 Duke (5 p.m.) and No. 9 UNC against No. 6 Virginia (7:30 p.m.)

•  The ACC title game (Sunday at 3 p.m., ESPNU)

WNBA Draft Takes Over ESPN’s Campus

For the second straight year, the WNBA Draft presented by Boost Mobile was held on the campus of ESPN in Bristol, Conn. On Monday, April 16, 15 of the top college seniors converged and awaited their destiny, as ESPN2 had live coverage and analysis of the first round, followed by the second and third rounds televised on ESPNU and NBA TV.

Additional content was offered across multiple ESPN platforms, including SportsCenter, espnW.com, ESPN.com and ESPNEWS.

The telecast of the Draft took place in Studio E – home to several ESPN shows including Mike & Mike in the Morning and Sunday NFL Countdown. Pam Ward anchored the show alongside analysts Rebecca Lobo and Carolyn Peck. Holly Rowe conducted interviews with the players.

In addition to the players on campus, other guests included the families, former coaches and friends of the draftees, as well as national and local women’s basketball media.
