North Carolina markets hold the four highest ratings:
- Greensboro is the top market overall with a 22.4 rating, which is the highest rating for a men’s college basketball game on ESPN since at least 2002 (the first year of records keeping).
- Raleigh-Durham averaged a 20.9 metered market, the second highest among metered markets. It was the highest rating for a men’s basketball game on ESPN since at least 2002 (the first year of records keeping).
- Charlotte and Greenville both averaged the highest rating for a men’s hoops game on ESPN since North Carolina at Duke on March 8, 2008 with a 14.4 and 9.3, respectively.
