ESPN International to Televise the 2012 NCAA Men’s Final Four to More Than 200 Countries

Four on Saturday, March 31, and Monday, April 2, through exclusive coverage on ESPN International. Mark Brown and Fran Fraschilla will call the National Semifinal doubleheader from New Orleans, beginning with Kentucky vs. Louisville at 6 p.m. ET followed by Ohio State vs. Kansas. They will also work the National Championship on Monday, April 2, at 9 p.m.

In addition to being a season-long game and studio analyst on ESPN’s men’s and women’s basketball coverage, Fraschilla serves as ESPN’s NBA Draft expert on International players and calls the network’s FIBA World Championship events.

“Both of these semifinals are rematches of games played earlier in the season,” said Fraschilla. “But the four teams are drastically different than they were in December. Kentucky is the team to beat, but Louisville, Ohio State and Kansas have handled the adversity of a long season and are each positioned to give the Wildcats a difficult matchup when and if they meet.”

Fraschilla added, “From my time in the international basketball community, I can attest that there are basketball fans all over the world now and it is a thrill to present the Men’s Final Four to them as the analyst.”

ESPN International will produce and distribute the action to more than 200 countries around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom.

ESPN has exclusive multi-media rights outside the United States, its territories and Bermuda for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship as part of a multiyear agreement with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) through 2023-24.
