ESPN Home Entertainment, in conjunction with Team Marketing, will release “ESPN Films Collection” Gift Set on Tuesday, November 22.  Arriving on the heels of the critically acclaimed and Emmy-nominated ’30 for 30’ series on DVD, the new offering from ESPN Films will include selections from the Fall 2011 film roster including Alex Gibney’s Catching Hell, Rory Karpf’s Herschel, the acclaimed documentary by Eric Drath about Renee Richards titled Renée, Steve Michaels’ Charismatic in addition to last season’s highest rated film on ESPN, The Fab Five directed by Jason Hehir.    Photos

The five-disc “ESPN Films Collection” Gift Set continues ESPN’s tradition of combining exceptional sports stories with exceptional filmmaking, to present another great addition to any sports fan or film fanatic’s collection.

Directors Jason Hehir (The Fab Five), Eric Drath (Renée), Rory Karpf (Herschel), Steve Michaels (Charismatic) and Academy Award-winner Alex Gibney (Catching Hell) each bring their unique perspective and a universal love of sports to their films.  With subjects varying from Steve Bartman, the notorious Cubs fan, to Charismatic, the determined thoroughbred who nearly won the Triple Crown to the most infamous team of college basketball recruits in history, these ESPN Films provide an in-depth look into the people and personalities that have embedded themselves in not only sports history but pop culture.

In addition to the five films, the five-disc gift set includes more than 100 minutes of bonus features, including deleted scenes, extended interviews, condensed games director’s statements.  Total running time is 480 minutes.
