Sunday at 8:15 p.m. (ESPN) – The first BCS Standings of the season will be revealed on BCS Countdown Presented by Allstate.   

This week’s discussion and analysis show will feature host Rece Davis with analysts Kirk Herbstreit (via satellite), Craig James and Robert Smith to give college football fans context about each team’s position leading up to the final standings on December 4, which determine the teams for each of the five BCS bowl games.   

In addition, BCS expert Brad Edwards will offer his bowl projections on set via touchscreen to illustrate potential matchups for each of the 35 existing bowl games.

Spotlight: Final Verdict 

Final Verdict. Airing Mondays at 4:30 p.m., host Dari Nowkhah listens to opposing arguments from college football analysts pleading their case. Nowkhah and ESPN recruiting director Tom Luginbill weigh-in on what it takes to sway the nation. There is always a winner and a loser in sports, such is the same for ESPNU’s

Wednesday at 7 p.m. – ESPNU All-Access: North Carolina takes the viewers inside player position meetings as they prepare for the upcoming game against Louisville. Assistant coach Charlie Williams was wired at practice preparing the wide receivers. Here is a clip of the players’ lighthearted impression of interim head coach Everett Withers.

• MSU has won the last three games vs. Michigan but
has not won four straight since 1959-62 

• This is the second time since winning the National
Championship in 1997 that Michigan has started the
season 6-0, last doing it in 2006 when the Wolverines
finished with an 11-2 record 

• Bennie Oosterbaan was the last Michigan coach to
defeat MSU in his first year with the program (1948)

3:30 p.m. (ABC, ESPN & ESPN3) –
No. 6 Oklahoma State at No. 22 Texas

• OSU is tied with Oklahoma and Kansas State at 2-0
in the conference and 5-0 overall 
 • OSU defeated Texas 33-16 last year but has never
beaten the Longhorns in consecutive seasons

• Saturday at 3:30-6 p.m. (ESPN2) – Goal Line will be offered as a special simulcast

College GameDay Notebook

College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will be headed to Eugene for the sixth time overall, and for the third straight year. Arizona State will be appearing in a game featuring GameDay for only the third time, while Oregon will be making its 13th appearance.

The College GameDay set will be located on the Memorial Quad in front of Lillis Business Complex. The show airs from 6-9 a.m. local time.

A part of the Internal Communications team at ESPN, I began with the network in 2010 as part of the College Sports PR team. Always an avid sports fan and not an athlete – I grew up a huge fan of the Hartford Whalers, while also watching my brother compete at different levels. I became the manager of several high school sports teams and continued that hobby into college. While at Quinnipiac, I worked in the Sports Information Department, which led me to a summer internship at the New Haven Ravens, a AA baseball team, and an eventual job with the Athletic Communications Department at the University of Connecticut. After my five-year stint at Connecticut, I spent six years as Director of Communications at the BIG EAST Conference in Providence, R.I. before joining ESPN.
