ESPN Announces Three 2011 Big 12 College Football Telecasts
ESPN has selected three 2011 Big 12 Conference college football games for ESPN and ABC telecasts on Thanksgiving and Championship Saturday. Championship Saturday, ESPN’s final weekend of regular season coverage, traditionally features games that play a factor in determining conference champions and BCS bids. Additional matchups will be announced.
Highlights include:
- Two ESPN on ABC Championship Saturday matchups on December 3: No. 1 Oklahoma, which returns 17 starters to a Fiesta Bowl-winning squad, at co-Big 12 South champion No. 10 Oklahoma State and traditional Big 12 power No. 19 Texas at Baylor, led by quarterback Robert Griffin III and receiver Kendall Wright. Game times will be determined with one being at 3:30 p.m. and another at 8 p.m.
- For the fourth consecutive year, ESPN will televise the Texas-Texas A&M in-state rivalry on Thanksgiving night (Thursday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m.). Twelfth-ranked Texas A&M, which returns 19 starters to a team that posted a 9-4 record, defeated No. 19 Texas 24-17 last year. ESPN also televised the rivalry game from 1984-89 and 1991-93.
