Baseball Tonight – ESPN’s signature Major League Baseball highlights, news and information show – will return with weekday editions beginning Monday, Feb. 7, at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The daily 30-minute shows – regularly on ESPN – will mark the second consecutive year Baseball Tonight has consistently been scheduled in an afternoon time slot during the offseason. The daily afternoon shows will lead up to the start of the 2011 MLB season, when Baseball Tonight shifts back to its regular-season schedule (primarily Monday-Saturday at 10 p.m. and midnight; Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.).
“Baseball Tonight is a definitive destination for fans seeking comprehensive MLB content,” said Jed Drake, senior vice president and executive producer, production. “Our goal is to prepare fans for Spring Training and the upcoming season by delivering the most relevant information, in-depth analysis and thorough highlights imaginable.”
Baseball Tonight, regularly hosted by Karl Ravech or Steve Berthiaume, will provide the latest news and information throughout Spring Training with in-depth information on all teams as they prepare for the 2011 campaign. Baseball Tonight’s deep roster of analysts includes Aaron Boone, Nomar Garciaparra, Doug Glanville, Orel Hershiser, John Kruk, Tim Kurkjian, Buster Olney, Eduardo Perez, Chris Singleton, Rick Sutcliffe, Bobby Valentine and Dave Winfield. The show will also include integration with ESPN.com (including reporters for each of the local sites in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York).
