Baseball Tonight’s John Kruk and Tim Kurkjian to Visit Spring Training Sites in Arizona & Florida
Baseball Tonight will hit the highway for the Baseball Tonight Goodyear Express Tour beginning today, Tuesday, February 15, when the bus stops in Scottsdale, Ariz., for a visit with San Francisco, the defending champion. Baseball Tonight’s Goodyear Express Tour will visit team camps in both Arizona and Florida over a four-week span.
Baseball Tonight analyst John Kruk and reporter Tim Kurkjian will be on the bus at each Spring Training destination, conducting interviews with players and providing in-depth perspective on team preparation and off-season storylines heading into the 2011 MLB season.
Content from the Baseball Tonight bus tour will be integrated into weekday Baseball Tonight episodes (regularly at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN), along with daily SportsCenter segments and ESPN.com (including local sites in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York).
“Marriage, the birth of my children, spending a month with Tim Kurjkian…my bucket list is complete,” said Kruk. “Any time a current or former player can spend a month with Tim, they should do it. His wealth of knowledge and respect for the game is unparalleled. I’m also looking forward to spending time with teams in Arizona because I seldom get to see them play.
“I’m really looking forward to spending nearly a month with John Kruk,” said Kurkjian. “I thought I had heard all of his best stories from his playing career, but I can’t wait to learn something new and funny that I never heard before. Spring Training is a great, and more relaxed, time to reconnect with teams and players and I’m looking forward to the experience.”
