Going Back to College

Former NCAA student-athletes turned Super Bowl XLV contenders, Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers (Cal) and Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger (Miami, OH) and Rashard Mendenhall (Illinois), will head back to college this week as ESPNU adds programming featuring their college days on Monday, Feb. 7 with three games from midnight to 6 a.m. ET.
Beginning at midnight, a replay of the 2003 Insight Bowl featuring Rodgers’ California Bears against Virginia Tech. Rodgers passed for 394 yards and two touchdowns to lead Cal to the 52-49 victory. The game was played in Phoenix, Ariz., on December 26.
At 2 a.m., the October 6, 2007 matchup between Wisconsin at Illinois, when Mendenhall rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns to lift the Fighting Illini to the 31-26 victory over the No. 5 Badgers.
Beginning at 4 a.m., the 2003 GMAC Bowl between Miami (OH) and Louisville from Mobile, Ala., on December 18 featuring Big Ben will air. Roethlisberger passed for 376 yards and four touchdowns to lead Miami to the 49-28 win.
