ESPN 3D will host the television world premiere of the 3D trailer for Walt Disney Pictures “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” on Friday, Dec. 17, when the network presents its first NBA telecast.  Play begins at 7 p.m. ET when the Miami Heat and its trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh visit the New York Knicks and Amare Stoudemire at Madison Square Garden.  “On Stranger Tides” follows Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa as they embark on a quest to find the elusive fountain of youth, only to discover that Blackbeard and his daughter are after it, too.  The film represents the franchise’s first foray into 3D.
