Vice President, Audience Engagement

Nicole Pelaez-Dandrea is vice president of Audience Engagement at ESPN, overseeing stats, analysis and sports analytics along with content curation across ESPN’s industry-leading digital and streaming experiences, including ESPN.com, the ESPN App, ESPN’s Fantasy App, and connected-TV devices. She collaborates across the company to optimize, prioritize and evaluate distributed content while managing the needs of diverse stakeholders across ESPN and The Walt Disney Company.

Since joining ESPN in 2007, Nicole helped launch the Stats & Information Group, developing products and tools to integrated advanced statistics into ESPN’s content. She led major company-wide initiatives across Content and Technology, working with multiple departments and vendors. Her contributions spanned interactive and virtual graphic executions, web media, and mobile applications. She was named vice president in 2019 and, in 2021, expanded her role to include oversight of digital video content.

Nicole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida (2000) and began her career in 1997 at The Gainesville Sun sports desk. With over 28 years of management experience across industries, she has held leadership roles that extend beyond ESPN. She served on the WICT New England Chapter board for five years, was named WICT New England’s 2013 Woman to Watch, and was recognized as one of FOLIO’s Top Women in Media in 2020. Nicole is also a graduate of the 2019–2020 Class 40 of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute in addition to NAMIC’s Executive Leadership Development Program in 2024.
