Alexis Nunes, Soccer Reporter, Host, ESPN, ESPN+

Alexis Nunes is ESPN soccer and cricket reporter.  She also co-hosts ESPN FC, ESPN’s signature soccer news and information program, which streams in English on ESPN+ in the U.S and on ESPN throughout the Caribbean.

In addition to co-hosting ESPN FC, Nunes covers major events for ESPN in United States and the Caribbean, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023, 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, the 2019 Pan American Games, multiple Cricket World Cups, 2019 FA Cup Final and the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup.

From 2019 to 2025, Nunes was based in London as ESPN’s lead television reporter, covering the FA Cup, LaLiga, Bundesliga, and numerous other major European competitions. Her assignments included several FA Cup Finals at Wembley Stadium, FC Barcelona–Real Madrid ElClásico in Spain, and the Supercopa de España in Saudi Arabia.

In 2021, Nunes co-hosted Somos Afro-Latinos, an ESPN special that brought together a group of Afro-Latino athletes, from across sports and generations, for a conversation on the intersection of race, sport and the Latino culture.

Prior to joining ESPN, Nunes worked at SportsMax TV, a Caribbean based TV network and co-hosted The SportsMax Zone, the network’s flagship program.  During her time there, she also co-hosted English-language coverage of the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

Born to a mother from El Salvador and a father from Jamaica, Alexis proudly identifies as Afro-Latina and Jamaican.
